Blackberry Balsamic Pork Chops

Blackberry Balsamic Pork Chops

This is my favorite pork chop recipe! The Blackberry Pepper Jam and balsamic go so well together and create the perfect sauce!

Blackberry Balsamic Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4-6 Pork chops

  • 1 Bunch green onions

  • 4 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar

  • 1/4 Cup Southern Roots Sisters Blackberry Pepper Jam

  • 1/4 Cup chicken broth

  • 2 Tablespoons butter

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Pat chops dry with paper towel and season generously all over with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat a large skillet (preferably cast iron) over medium heat and drizzle with olive oil. Add chops and cook until browned and cooked through on each side. The cooking time will differ depending on the thickness of the chops, but it shouldn't take more than a few minutes per side for thinner chops. Once done, remove from the pan and set aside.

  3. To make the sauce, drizzle more olive oil in the same pan and add the green onion whites and cook for 2-3 minutes. Reserve the green tops for garnish.

  4. Add in balsamic vinegar, Southern Roots Sisters Blackberry Pepper Jam, and chicken broth and whisk to combine. Continue cooking and stirring until sauce is to consistency or about 5-7 minutes. The sauce should bubble up and cook down to a thicker consistency.

  5. Turn off heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter to finish the sauce and stir until melted. Serve over pork chops, garnish with green onion tops, and enjoy!
